Leadership has been shown to be a fundamental factor influencing the performance of athletic teams. Numerous leadership qualities exist which can be displayed in formal or informal leadership roles. Understanding the importance of these leadership qualities is key to developing these qualities. MFCA’s Leadership Development Program provides high schoolers with an introductory look at identifying and developing leadership qualities attractive to colleges, coaches and future employers. Upon completion of the modules and submissions of the exercises, athletes receive a certificate of completion of MFCA’s Leadership Development Program as they build their resume and prepare themselves for future opportunities.
